Recently the Standardization Italian Body (UNI) has issued the revision of UNI 9034 (material and joints for gas piping), UNI 9165 (Design of gas piping) and UNI 9860 (House connection of gas piping).
These new documents are part of the Italian regulation for the gas piping system and now they refer more specifically to the European Standards (as EN 12007 series); a clear step in this direction is represented, in the case of UNI 9165 and UNI 9860, by the title where appear for the first time: “Gas Infrastructure”. A clear reference to the European technical committee “CEN/TC 234 - Gas Infrastructure”, the place where the standards for an European common gas market are developed.
